Support throughout your cancer treatment journey

Each patient’s treatment journey is unique—but we can all use some support along the way. Below is a list of links to organizations that provide support and answers for cancer patients and their loved ones.
 

Cancer immunotherapy information

  • Cancer Immuno-Oncology

    An educational website presented by the pharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb. Includes information on science of immuno-oncology, educational resources, and information on clinical trials.

  • Cancer Research Institute

    The Cancer Research Institute (CRI) is the world's only nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to harnessing the immune system's power to conquer all cancers. Read about your cancer type and how immunotherapy is impacting its treatment.

  • Fight Cancer With Immunotherapy

    An educational website presented by the pharmaceutical company Dendreon. Provides an overview of immunotherapy in relation to cancer treatment, and discusses key differences between immunotherapy and chemotherapy/radiation.

General cancer information

  • Cancer.net


    Patient information from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Includes cancer types, treatments, survivorship, advocacy, and resources.

  • ClinicalTrials.gov


    Searchable database that provides patients, family members, and the public with the most up-to-date information about current, ongoing clinical research studies.

  • National Cancer Institute (NCI)

    Established in 1937 as part of the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Health and Human Services. NCI’s main responsibilities include coordinating the National Cancer Program, conducting and supporting cancer research, training physicians and scientists and disseminating information about cancer to the public.

  • NCI-Designated Cancer Centers

    Section of the NCI website where patients can research and locate NCI-designated cancer centers, which deliver cutting-edge cancer treatments to patients in communities across the U.S.

  • Cancer Care, Inc.

    A national nonprofit organization that provides free, professional support services for anyone affected by cancer.

  • Hill-Burton Uncompensated Services Hotline


    Part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the primary federal agency for improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated, or medically vulnerable.

  • Cancer Support Community

    An international nonprofit dedicated to providing support, education, and hope to people affected by cancer.

  • National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship

    A nonprofit that advocates for quality cancer care for all Americans and empowerment for cancer survivors.

  • The National Health Information Center (NHIC)


    U.S. Department of Health and Human Services site with health information and searchable resource database to link people to health organizations and government offices with the information they need.

  • Patient Advocate Foundation

    A national nonprofit organization, which provides professional case management services to Americans with chronic, life-threatening, and debilitating illnesses.
